I haven't had a television for over a year. I'm too cheap to get cable. Without cable, I'd be lucky to get one channel. So, for the past year, I've had no television. If there is a show I want to watch, I see it with friends or I watch it online at hulu, fancast or another online outlet. I really haven't missed it at all. In fact, I'm not sure that I will get another television or not since I can watch so many things online.
For the 2008 World Series, I've been following it online at www.mlb.com. It's been great! I've been very pleased with mlb.com's coverage of the Series. The online video and audio is fantastic. When I worked at Total Sports in 2000 - 2001, online audio, video and "casting" of games was just beginning. Things sure have come a long way since Total Sports' innovative TotalCast.
