Random Thoughts

It has been over a month since I have posted. I know - I'm a slacker. I seem to go through phases where I want to blog and other phases where I don't want to blog. I guess this means that prezhilton and other bloggers need not to worry about my blog stealing their audiences!

Summer has arrived in Portland, Ore. The weather has been beautiful. It's hot but it is not overly humid.

On July 4, The Oregonian printed a copy of the Declaration of Independence. Every time I read this document or a part of it, I am amazed. It is succint, to the point and incredibly elegant. I know there are many issues and challenges with our country right now, yet I also know this is a pretty awesome country.

The Portland Beavers defeated the Tacoma Rainiers , 2-1, in front of 15,569 fans at PGE Park on July 4. It was the largest crowd since the park reopened in 2001. It was great seeing so many people enjoying baseball in Portland.

I learned today that my friend, Beth, gave birth to a baby boy on June 14. I'm so happy for her and her family. She's going to be a wonderful mother.
