Family Tree

I just finished reading Family Tree by Barbara Delinsky. What a wonderful book! This effort by Delinsky looks at race, family, trust, history, prejudice, relationships and identity. The book looks at how we view ourselves and others. It covers complex issues yet is an easy read. I so wanted to know the ending that I read it in two days.

Delinsky has been my favorite author for quite some time. She has an amazing gift to develop characters that are close to the heart, well-developed and full of strengths and faults. Whenever I finish a book by Barbara Delinsky, I always want the book to go on longer so I can learn more about her characters.

I have read almost all of her books over the past few years, some I have read more than once. My two favorite books by Delinsky are Suddenly and For My Daughters. She has a new book, The Secret Between Us, that will be available on January 22, 2008.
